Owner and Head Chef:

“Who’s your chef?”

Born and raised in France, the “art de la table” is second nature to Dominique Fontenille. His drive and passion for excellent cuisine lead him to be one of the youngest graduates of the famous “Ecole Hotelière de Saint Chamond” culinary academy in France. With his culinary diploma in one hand and a spatula in the other, Chef Dominique left his home country to expand his horizons. The young chef, was sought after by several high end restaurants, and chose to cultivate his techniques at the world renowned five star "The Royal Garden Hotel" in London, England.

After conquering the European culinary world, Chef Dominique sought out a new challenge: the American melting-pot. Dominique moved to Chicago seeking out new ways to satisfy the American palate. This was the beginning of an undying love between the young chef and American cuisine.

The Mid-West quickly became home and Chef Dominique settled into the great city of Sioux Falls.  Many of you know Chef Dominique from Theo’s and 601 Arota; now he is dedicating his talents exclusively to catering to ensure that your event is perfect. Drawing upon his passion for food and uncompromising standards, Chef Dominique uses his wide range of culinary knowledge and expertise to create the perfect menu for any event. With 26 years in the food service industry, including 16 years of catering;Dominique’s eclectic background allows him to create original, diverse menus featuring only the highest quality ingredients, giving Chef Dominique’s Catering the culinary reputation that sets us apart from our competitors.

Planning the perfect event is the passion of Jessica Fontenille, co-owner of Chef Dominique’s Catering and Banquet Facility. With 12 years of experience in the food service industry and nearly 5 years as Catering Director, Jessica understands the importance of excellent service.

Jessica can provide you with planning, custom menu recommendations and wine selection to ensure that your event reflects your taste. Her belief is that personal attention to each and every detail is the key to perfect timing and exceptional entertaining. Ranee Randall is a vital part of our organization. A graduate of Mitchell Culinary Institute, Ranee has 8 years of experience in the food service industry. She has been with us for 5 years and not only manages our kitchen, but assists Chef Dominique on every event. It is Chef Ranee that arranges our beautiful buffet displays using her extensive knowledge of floral arrangement and food architecture.
